RxLaboratorio, sometimes abbreviated in RxLab, is a French non-profit organization. You can read more details about us on this page.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When you use our website, some personal data may be automatically collected to improve your experience, security, and provide our services. This data includes:

• Your location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping, help spam detection, or adjusting the display language of the site.
• Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed.
• We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.

We may also ask you to provide more personal information:

• Orders: when you purchase from us or make a donation, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this to manage your order and keep an account for you if you chose to create one. Note that your phone number may be needed for shipping, but we will never contact you with it.
• Contact forms: when you use a contact form to send us some information, we collect the data shown in the form. This data is sent to the administrator of the site.
• Comments: when you leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form. This data is shown in the comment on the site.
• Media: if you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
• Embedded content from other websites: Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
  Although we’re very careful about what content may be embedded, these websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

• Orders: when you buy a book, your name, email and shipping address is shared with lulu.com who is in charge to print and send you the book you’ve ordered.

• Payments: We accept payments through PayPal and Stripe. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal or Stripe, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

  When you save a payment method in your account, for example to handle recurring payments, we do not retain any payment information; it is saved and secured either by PayPal or Stripe. Note that all payment information is hashed, and nobody can retrieve any card or account number even if you’ve saved your payment information.
• Password reset: if you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

• Orders: all data associated with your orders is retained indefinitely. This is so we can provide support about your order in the future, and for accounting purposes, according to European Union and French laws.
• Contact forms: all data sent using the contact forms is retained as long as it is needed to answer your request and provide support.
• Comments: if you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
• Account: if you register on our website, we also store the personal information you provide in your user profile. You can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except you cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, or have made a purchase, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on the site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
